Michele Byrne is recognized for her figurative plein air work and dynamic palette knife paintings. While she is based in Reading, Pennsylvania, she travels extensively, painting in various locations such as Manhattan, Paris, California, Colorado, and Key West, Florida. Her plein air and studio work has won numerous awards including the President's Choice Award from the American Impressionist Society in 2018. Her instructional video titled "Palette Knife Painting with Michele Byrne" released through Liliedahl Productions had won Liliedalh Best Selling video in 2018. She a nominated member of the Salmagundi Club, Signature Member of the American Impressionist Society, and Oil Painters of America.
