Peter Salwen's urban landscapes pay special attention to light. They can be found in collections all across the U.S., Europe and South America. A common subject of his paintings is nature in relation to New York City. Peter has studied fine art at New York's High School of Music & Art, Cornell University, the Art Students League, and the New School. He also leads walking tours in New York City, and has written the books, "Upper West Side Story: A History & Guide", and "20 Views of the City".
