Claude Mourier

Claude Mourier was born in 1930 in Beaugency, France. Early in his career, it was recognized that Mourier was one of the great contemporary French School artist of the 20th century. For nearly 2 decades now, Mourier's pieces have been selling at auction houses in many parts of the world and have become extremely popular and collected internationally. They are particularly popular in Belgium, Switzerland, Japan, England and the United States. Throughout his career, Mourier has received much acclaim and innumerable awards for his work. He is highly regarded and extensively listed (Davenports, Artprice, etc). His palette is bright and his compositions employ a perfect orchestration of color and texture creating some of the finest impressionistic masterpieces of our time. Edgar Faure of the French Academy has stated, "the work of Claude Mourier is a joy for always and a day."
